THE ROLE

We are currenting seeking a Grocery Supervisor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have previous grocery experience and will assist the Grocery Leadership Team in overseeing the daily department operations, including delegating tasks, training and developing employees, providing exemplary customer service, upholding store policies, and ensuring the proper rotation and display of product to meet our high standards for freshness and quality.

• Assist in managing, motivating, training and developing staff according to company policies and procedures.

• Merchandise grocery items so that it is organized and visually appealing to maximize sales and uphold overall store appearance.

• Control product rotation with grocery floor stock, manage floor displays to ensure limited product loss, execute in store specials when necessary. 

• Manage inventory levels to limit product loss.

• Provide exceptional customer service in all situations, including returns and complaints.

• Maintain store and display signage to set standards.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

•  One year of retail supervisory experience in a grocery, food specialty or produce environment is preferred, or similar experience.

• A passion for providing superior customer service and sharing produce knowledge.

• A positive attitude and the desire to lead and motivate a team.

• The physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs repeatedly.

• The ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.

• The availability to work full-time, 40 hours weekly for a variety of shifts including evenings and at least one weekend day.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Grocery Clerk to join our Root Cellar team! As a Grocery Clerk, you will be responsible for various duties including maintaining stock levels, product quality, and display appearance in the grocery and dairy departments, as well as providing an exemplary customer service experience.

• Merchandise products to maximize sales, customer satisfaction, and complement overall store appearance.

• Consistently provide excellent service to all customers.

• Gain product and supplier knowledge to better serve customers.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all displays and backstock areas.

• Effectively face, date check, and rotate product to minimize product loss.

• Assist in the building and maintenance of grocery displays.

• Preference given for retail customer service experience or previous grocery experience.

• The ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.

• A flair for organization and order in your surroundings.

• The physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods of time, work in a cool environment, and lift 25-50 pounds.

• Open availability and a flexible schedule including mid-day to evening shifts, weekdays and weekends. Around 12 to 20 hours available.
